6x6" Square Floral Preservation Vixen Hollow Arts

Spring has Sprung in Maine

It’s been a while since I have made a blog post. Lots of things are going on in my life these days. In February my stepdad, the man that raised me, passed away. It was so hard to deal with for sure. However, I am feeling some closure from his passing creating beautiful Memorial Flower pieces the past weeks.

During the Spring I got the chance to create some unique decorations for the INN ON MOUNT DESERT in Bar Harbor. From Easter decorations to even giving facelifts to the existing charcuterie Boards. I took 2 pill shaped boards and added faux marble and pressed flowers with a glitter shimmer. Additionally, I updated a State of Maine Board with a shark in the waves for the INN ON MOUNT DESESRT.

Just Last week I had surgery recently which went very well.  As you can guess I have needed some mental health space to deal with all the life transitions I have going on.

Memorial Day is next weekend which means craft fair season begins again. Saturday and Sunday May 27-28th I will be back in Bar Harbor at the Village Green with the Island Arts Association. I will be selling Coasters, Wall Art, Charcuterie Boards and have pamphlets for wedding flower preservation. Hopefully it will be less eventful than last year when my tent blew over. Looking forward to sharing my adventures on Mount Desert Island, Ellsworth, and the rest of DownEast Maine this season.
