Art is Therapy

It has been a while since I posted my last blog because I took a mental health week. Yesterday was the last of two anniversaries of domestic violence incidences that triggered me. I almost did not post this blog. As I was dealing with all those raw emotions I would try to sit in front

Playing Hooky on MDI

This weekend I played hooky. No craft fairs. I spent some time on self-care on Mount Desert Island. I stopped by Acadia National Park at Thunder Hole for a picture and Echo Lake for a swim. Next stop was Bar Harbor Cellars for a tasting. The Rose was delicious, a nice crisp taste for the

Hang Ten

I had a good time at the craft fair in Southwest Harbor this weekend. It was a hot weekend. One thing I enjoy about craft fairs on Mount Desert Island is when past customers stop by the craft fairs. They tell me how much they love the pieces they bought from me. This weekend I

Camp Christmas in July

I love Christmas and I love Christmas in July. If Candance Cameron Bure is the Queen of Christmas, then the Founders of Christmas is Not Canceled Jen Lilley and her friend Ale are the Queens of Christmas in July. Jen Lilly brought with her the Charity she runs with best friend Ale to GAC Family

The event takes place on the property of the YMCA Bar Harbor across from the Athletic Feld hosting the Pancake Breakfast and the big Lobster Boil. I must say it’s quite the Spectacular.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July Weekend.  In honor of the holiday, I decided to show off my Most Patriot Pieces of Art!! So first up is a Beautiful Vintage Up Cycled Americana Flag Sign. I found this sign from Facebook Marketplace on Cape Cod back when I was still living there before I moved to Maine

Where it all started

My very first piece of art I made in a lesson was my mermaid.  The lesson was in Chatham Massachusetts with Mary Dunn Cauley, very talented mosaic artist on Cape Cod. Mary gives great instruction and encourages students to practice self-expression through their own unique style. I absolutely love how this displays the genuine creativity

Fogtown Brewing

This weekend was a beautiful weekend in Downeast Maine. I had a craft Fair at Artsworth & Atlantic Glass Studio in Ellsworth. When it’s the last weekend in June and the temperatures in Downeast Maine are already mid 80s you know this summer is going to be a hot one. This market is a half
